Dr Janet Lee

Dr Janet Lee has worked in Burwood in private practice for more than 20 years, with Inner West Eye Surgeons moving to the present location in 2005. Dr Lee is a highly experienced, comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery and glaucoma.

 

Dr Lee obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney graduating with Honours, before completing her postgraduate ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital. Dr Lee has also worked at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA, during which time she undertook further study in cataract and genetic eye diseases.

Dr Lee is a member of various national and international ophthalmic associations, and regularly attends scientific meetings both in Europe and the USA to further her education, keep abreast of new developments and expand her knowledge. Dr Lee’s work has also been published in a number of international ophthalmic journals. Dr Lee is Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) accredited, meaning that pilots and those involved in the aviation industry come to her for certification from an ophthalmic safety point of view.

Dr Lee treats patients of all ages, including children. Dr Lee’s work and expertise include cataract surgery (both conventional and laser assisted cataract surgery), glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), sutureless pterygium removal as well as neuro-ophthalmic and medical retinal conditions.
